Surely, the lawsuit between various NFL players both active and retired against the NFL will be going down in the annals of Tort law. Because of the alphabetical placement of named players in the lawsuit, this action is now being labeled as the “Brady case.”
It has become apparent that in the modern football era, Tom Brady is the face and persona of the NFL nation. For good or bad, all things NFL are being named the “Brady this or that.”
In Brady’s inaugural year as the replacement QB for Drew Bledsoe, Brady ran head long into the “Tuck rule.” Since nobody really knew who Tom Brady was at that point in his career, this was one of the few rules that didn’t get his name hung out in front.
Currently, there is one rule change that is directly tied to the Patriots quarter back, the Brady rule. After a season ending hit to his knee the league deemed that it was essential to further protect all quarter backs from possible career ending damage.
