The Football Association have paid homage to one of football's greatest pioneers in Arthur Wharton at St. George's Park.
Wharton, the world's first professional black footballer, is being honoured with a statue which the FA have unveiled.
The Ghanaian-born player moved to England in 1882 as a Christian missionary but wound up as a goalkeeper for Darlington and eventually Preston North End.
He also dabbled in cricket.
