University of Houston diver and Olympic silver medalist, Anastasia Pozdniakova, was named the Conference USA Diver of the Week, after winning both the one meter and three meter dives at her final regular season meet.
Pozdniakova was the winner of two titles at the Sprint for the Cure Meet, where Houston competed against The University of Texas at Austin.
The senior was the only diver to cross the 300-point mark in both events, posting a score of 345.45 in the one meter and 378.98 in the three meter event.
The diver has won every diving event of the season she has competed in, furthering her streak to seven straight in both events.
This is her fourth honor of the season and 19th of her career. She is the recipient of the most career Player of the Week honors by any student-athlete in C-USA to date.
The swimmers and divers will be back in the pool Feb. 24-27, as Houston plays host to the C-USA championships.
